Zoppé Family Circus
January 11 - January 13, 2013
General Admission

“The Zoppé Circus is nothing if not an education in this ancient art form, although you’re so entertained and delighted that it might never cross your mind that you’re being instructed in skills honed over thousands of years.” -Daily Beast

The circus returns! The Zoppé family has been in the circus business since 1842, when a French street clown and a Hungarian equestrienne ballerina ran off to Venice where they married and started a dynasty now in its sixth generation. The intimate 500-seat tent honors the best of Old-World Italian tradition. Family patriarch Giovanni Zoppé as Nino the Clown takes the audience on a journey that features acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation. “We try to touch every emotion,” he says. “They’ll laugh, they’ll cry and they’ll feel for the characters. We tell a story during our show — the story of our family.” Joyful fun for the entire family.

The Zoppé Family Circus will be held in Reid Park (closest intersection: Country Club at 22nd St.)
