2013 Chinese New Year Festival

Celebrating a tradition thousands of years old, the largest Chinese New Year’s festival in Arizona is back again in Centennial Hall. Directed by Dr. Larry Lang, this extravaganza features performers from the Shaolin Martial Arts master Junming Zhao, Chinese stunt performer Zhigang Chen and classical violist Hongmei Xiao. Also showcasing their talents are local performers from Sonoran Sound Quartet, Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, Chinese dancer Lucy Chen and Tucson Sino Dance. The festival highlights a Grand Chorus of local singing groups this fusion of East and West brings together a spectacular performance that can’t be missed!

This event is presented by UA Confucius Institute and Tucson Sino Choir and is not part of the UApresents 2012-13 Season and does not apply toward the purchase of a subscription. Different purchase and exchange policies apply. Please call the Ticket Office for details.

UApresents Season Events – Policies and Fees

Order fees (Subscription) – $12/order (Web, phone or window); (Group Sales) – $10/order.

Order fees (Individual Tickets) – Web: No fee (UApresents events), $5 (Non-UApresents events); Phone: $10/order; Window: No fee.

A non-refundable $5/ticket operating fee applies to all ticket purchases with the exception of Student/Child/UA Faculty/UA Staff.

Exchange fee: $7/order (Waived for Subscribers). Phone fee applies.

No refunds. Exchanges (to UApresents events only) can be made up to 24 hours prior to event.

UA students may charge their tickets to their Bursar's account when they order tickets by phone or in person. Phone fee applies.


Special savings are available for patrons 65 years of age and over as well as children under the age of 18.

IDs for discounted tickets will be checked at the door (Senior, Military, Children, Students and UA Faculty/Staff). Limit: 2 discounted tickets per valid ID per performance.
